Peter Charell

Bass Player

Peter Charell

Peter Charell is the bass player in the band Trapt. Charell co-founded the band with vocalist Chris Taylor Brown in the 1990’s. Trapt is putting the finishing touches on the sixth studio release, the first of which went Platinum with over one million copies sold. In 2002 “Headstrong” reached No. 1 on both the Modern Rock Tracks and Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks charts, as well as No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking their most successful single to date. Pete has co-produced all six of Trapt’s records and has been increasingly more involved in recording and engineering over the past three records. Pete owned and operated a home studio called Dexter Dog Studio since 2004 and has recently made the jump into a more professional studio environment over at The Omen Room in 2014. All of the drums on “The Acoustic Collection” were engineered and recorded by Pete at The Omen Room. The upcoming album, “DNA”, was also engineered and recorded by Pete at The Omen Room. DNA was mixed by Chris Lord-Alge and will see a release later this year.
